The Town Hall of Arkalochori was perceived as a building that will express to the citizens with simple and distinct manner its communal and participative character, directly linked to the nature of a public building. Our desire is the construction of a building that will be compatible with the economical, environmental and cultural particularities of the area.
The conceptual outline of the proposed solution is the execution of an important open, free, public recreational area - receiving the bi-directional flow of public’s outdoor traffic, towards the building and vice versa. This area comprises the central social core as an open hug.
